** Please remember our congregation is responsible for the 4th Wednesday Bible Study at Stones River Manor on August 27th. The residents deeply appreciate our members for coming and worshipping with them. Harvey Key will be speaking this month.
** Our Fall Teaching Rotation will change Wednesday, September 3rd! Members are being confirmed for September through December.
** The Tennessee Children's Home Fall Food & Supply Drive has now begun. The truck will be by our church building on September 25th. This year we have been requested to donate ... Granulated Sugar, 100% Bottled Juices (Grape, Apple & Orange), Cake Mixes & Frostings, Snack Crackers, Velvetta, Cooking Oil, Toilet Paper, Antibacterial Bath & Kitchen Spray, Trash Bags (13 & 39 gallon), Liquid Laundry Detergent and Paper Towels.
** Our Community Bible Class will be starting back on Tuesday, September 2nd. Brother David will again be teaching and it will go through the last Tuesday in November. The study text will be the Book of Acts, Chapters 1-12. (The spring quarter will be Chapters 13-28.)

** Jerry & Betty McCullough are making arrangements for those interested in attending another play -- well, actually two plays -- at the Arts Center of Cannon County. One will be 'On Golden Pond' October 11th and the other is 'Tuna Christmas' on December 6th. If you would like to go, please sign up on the bulletin board in the front foyer and give your money to The McCulloughs by Sunday, August 31st. 'On Golden Pond' is $8 and 'Tuna Christmas' is $25 because it is a meal and the play.
** A very special thanks to Mike Strickland & the others from Middle Tennessee Christian Student Center (also known as Raiders for Christ) who joined us for our Evening Service August 17th. Mike had an excellent sermon and exhibited a wonderful example as to why our MTSU college students should become actively involved in this organization.
** ... AND we express our deepest appreciation to the ladies at RFC for the delicious meal we enjoyed after the service. A warm plate of chicken casserole, beans, rice, desserts and warm Christian fellowship!! It was a very enjoyable opportunity. If you weren't able to attend but would like to make a donation toward the RFC '08-'09 activities, please give it to Jon Palmer or Linda.

... And Also Regarding Our College/Career Age Group ... This class would like to invite others (approximately 18 through 'twenty-somethings') to join them in class on Sundays (taught by Tracy Rhodes) and on Wednesday nights (taught by Greg Waldron). By God's grace, their C.A.S.H. fellowships (College/Career Class At Savannah's House) have been very successful this summer, and they would like to build on that. Please see Adam, Savannah, Jon Palmer or Tracy if you would like more information.
** The congregation wants to thank Jeff Howland for speaking at the 2:00 Worship Service at Westbrooks Towers August 17th and for the Junior High & Middler students who helped. Blake Howland lead the singing and Jared Wheeler, Josh Howland & Brandon Thomson read scripture. Of course the residents there also deeply appreciate Whitney Cowan and the others who make a special effort to worship with them each time.
** Anyone who would like to have a FREE 2008 VBS T-shirt can find them at the front & back doors of our building. We have many Childs Small & Mediums and Adults Small & Mediums left.
